OPOS

 

 

OPOS was founded in 1997 by Dr.-Ing. Matthias Hartrumpf. In close co-operation with the Fraunhofer Institute IOSB and the Institut für Chemiefasern (Institute for Man-Made Fibers) we are developing, manufacturing and maintaining sensors for the control and quality monitoring of industrial production processes. Our sensors are installed in the EU, in USA and in Japan.

Our Sensors:

  • AMORAN (Amorphous Orientation Analyser), an on line sensor for the detection of the state of molecular order in the non-crystalline regions of polymer fibres and films. This value - the amorphous orientation - is strongly correlated with dyeability and the mechanical properties of the material. In fibre production, the analyser can be used to monitor amorphous orientation on the running threadline of fibre.
 
  • Scanners for special applications:
    • I-Mike, a telecentric laser scanner system for contactless measurements of diameter and wall thickness of transparent tubes or two diameters of glass rods.
    • Image acquiring scanner for the automatical visual inspection or measurement of 3d-extended transparent objects. Compared to camera solutions they provide a huge depth of focus. Solutions for refracting objects (tubes, rods) are available. They allow for example the complete inspection of tubes up to 380 mm diameter for bubbles, scratches, particle inclusions.
    • The seam detector allows the contact free detection of the seems in cylindrical hollow glasses. Knowledge of these seems is essential fort high quality, high-speed printing of glasses (bottles and other hollow glasses...).
    • Retro-Scanner, a telecentric laser scanner for all purposes with limited space behind the measurement object.
    • Fibre-Position-Scanner, a telecentric laser scanner for the measurement of small objects (compared with laser diameter). The position of a fibre or the single positions of fibres within a bundle are measured with high precision in a range of up to 130 mm x 200 mm.
    • Fibre-Diameter-Scanner, a telecentric laser scanner for the measurement of small objects (compared with laser diameter). The diameter of a fibre or the single diameters of fibres within a bundle are measured with high precision in a range of up to 130 mm x 200 mm.
    • patents are pending for further special scanning systems..
 
  • FIPS (Fibre-Bundle-Position-Sensor) a sensor for the detection of the average deflection of a fibre bundle (threadline).
 
  • Scratch Detector for the classification of the visibility of scratches in varnish.
